Ivey has worked as a Professor at Texas Lutheran University in the Dramatic Media Department since 2010.
During her time at TLU, Ivey has won the Harold D. Bier Teaching Award and the Faculty Servant Leader of the Year Award.
Ivey holds a double B.A. in Theatre & Journalism from The University of the Incarnate Word and a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from University of California, Irvine.
Ivey has devoted her life to arts for social change, She continues to give voice to victims of human trafficking, abuse and neglect, domestic violence, foster children, and immigrants along the Texas border through her films and by producing stories on her TikTok Channel, which has 245K Subscribers.
